Two very tight games for Wentworth Warriors this week. First up Red Beach were beaten 2-0, thanks to goals from Austin and Jared and some very solid defending from Bridie and Charlotte.
The second game against Dairy Flat was a harder test (these guys are the only team to have beaten us this season). We lost our shape in the first half and found ourselves 3-Nil down at half-time. In the second half we were much more disciplined. Bridie’s long clearances and strong pressing from Bethany and Annie provided the team with a platform, from which Austin and Jared scored 3 fine goals. The game ended 3-3 with Dairy Flat hanging on for the draw. A thrilling match and a great comeback from Wentworth!
